Our Goal
We Our goal is to promote the sport of fly fishing in Southern Wisconsin to anyone who has an interest.
We know how difficult it is to begin something new and how expensive it can be to start a new hobby. That is one of the reasons that we have began this program. Augusta fly fishing supplies all the equipment that you will need for the day. This includes an Augusta Fly Rod, fly reel, backing, fly line, leader, tippet, and Augusta flies. All of this would cost between $150 and $200 but we supply you this equipment for the day. That way you can find out if you enjoy the sport before you put that much money into it.

For the Beginners
 The first group that we want to mention is the uninitiated or the beginner: For on reason or another many people who are interested in fly fishing have never given it a try. Reasons range from not having the equipment to thinking that it is to difficult to learn. We want to get those people out on the river and show them the basics of fly fishing.
If you have tried fly fishing but are still working on the basics we want to spend the day with you and show you the proper techniques before you pick up bad habits.
We will show you the basics of casting including false casting, roll casting, the reach cast, pile cast and more. We will teach you how to read the water, find where the fish are holding and how to get to them. We will also introduce you to different fishing techniques. Including how to present dry flies, nymphing, streamer fishing, and top water flies.

For the Experienced
 If you are an experienced fly fisher we will help you with a few of the more advanced techniques. We can help to fine tune your casts. Maybe you have problems with tailing loops we can help to correct your casting problems. We may be able to introduce you to a few new casts and spend the day fishing.

For Everyone
 We want to take you out on the river and help you to find and catch fish. The fishing that will be doing is for smallmouth and blue gills in the summer, salmon in the fall and steelhead in the spring. Most trips are done on the Milwaukee River other locations are available upon request. If you prefer we can take you out fishing for trout in the Madison area. We will discuss and work on reading the water, casting, stripping, hook sets, how to fight a fish, and proper fish handling techniques.
We want to show you a good time on the river and make you a well rounded angler.

Full Day: $175 equipment included

Only $25 per additional person for half day
Only $35 per additional person for a full day
